Synopsis: A group of camp counselors begin the preparations to re-open Camp Crystal Lake only to be rudely interrupted by a homicidal maniac.
Fact: Sally Field auditioned for the role of Alice Hardy.
Trivia: I know I list him in the credits but it's a great trivia question. Kevin Bacon is the guy who gets the poker through the neck while lying in bed.
Movie Mistake: The hands that reach up and grasp Mrs. Voorhees's the stump, where her head used to be, are mans hands.
My Take: What kind of messed up parents would take a ten year old to see this movie? Mine! I didn't sleep for two weeks and a major portion of that is what you see in the picture. That scene at the end, where Jason comes out of the water scared the bejesus out of me! The messed up part was that my mom made me cover my eyes every time there was a potential female breast to be shown. Decapitation and throat slicing? No prob, enjoy!
